Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan

I am so addicted to MJS’s books- I cannot get enough of Royce and Hadrian, but I’m cringing right now. The beginning of this book has me anticipating the worst for several characters that I’m really fond of and it’s stressing me out. I almost wish I had a physical copy so I could cheat and see who’s still alive at the end, but alas, I’m listening to the audiobook which forces me to be good and not read the last chapter. And yes, I do that frequently.

Cover- Ninefox Gambit

Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee

I’ve just started this, so the only statement I can really make about it thus far is that it’s confusing. The reader is thrown right in the middle of a battle, which has lots of unfamiliar and unexplained terminology. It’s beginning to sort itself out and I’m hoping that this will be an awesome sci-fi book! The synopsis sounded awesome and my expectations are high.

  1. Very curious to see how you’ll make out with Ninefox Gambit. I was completely overwhelmed by the beginning too, and for me that confusion never truly lifted, not even towards the end of the novel…at least, not completely. Some of the ideas in this book are really fascinating though!
