Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine where bloggers feature a book that we just can’t wait to get our hands on!
WOULD YA JUST LOOK AT IT. I was BEYOND excited when a special 10th anniversary edition of one of my favorite books of all time was announced a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I’ll be purchasing this and displaying it proudly upon my shelves, but first I’ll probably gaze at it in starry eyed delight and possibly sniff that nice new book smell. I’ve only got 3 different formats of this book already, so clearly I need another one. This special edition of The Name of the Wind even has fancy illustrations and a total of 50 pages of extra goodies. You can run out and buy it on October 3, 2017.
The Name of the Wind is 10 years old??? :O
I’m just finding out about the anniversary edition now, so this is news to me. I’m not too crazy about the style of the cover, though I like how all the little details pertain to different events in the story. And the artwork – wow. Gorgeous.

The cover is unusual, but I kind of like it and the interior art is so beautiful! It makes me feel old know that it’s been out for 10 years already… meaning I read it 7 years ago 😮

I only read it 2 or 3 years ago, so I haven’t been waiting for Book #3 as long as other fans have… Still, it’s mind-boggling to think it’s been out for that long.

Wow, I’m floored that it has been ten years. Can’t help but feel a little depressed at this news either. At this point, I think the only way I’ll be able to feel excited about this series again is if we get news of book three 😛

Yes! Even an expected release date would be wonderful. Or a cover. Or literally anything. It’s crazy that this has been out for a decade already!
